Une Saison en Enfer

For the book cover of “A Season in Hell” (French: Une Saison en Enfer), an extended poem in prose by French writer Arthur Rimbaud (1854–1891), I crafted an illustration capturing the essence of the poem’s title. Rimbaud’s sole published work, it had a profound impact on later artists and poets, particularly the Surrealists. The illustration vividly portrays the juxtaposition of the season and hell, offering a visual representation of Rimbaud’s evocative prose.
